I am handbag designer with a love for all things design. In my spare time I teach people the art of craft at White Owl Studio.

Yep, that’s my dad. He’s preparing to dispose of a dead animal trapped in his garden. As you can see he’s fully protected with his winter coat, snow boots, leather gloves and gas mask.
Editor’s Note: It was 95 degrees outside at this time in the middle of the HOTTEST SUMMER ON RECORD.
Fun poufs!
Love this coffee table! And and all the rooms photographed in this post.

Loving these faux wood wallpapers. Trying to think of the perfect spot in our home….
It’s cherry season in Ft. Wayne, and the fruit on our tree was ripe last week!
I made cherry sauce for some homemade pineapple sorbet, and some mini cherry pies. Yummm!

I found this little gem at Marshall’s last week, and could leave without bringing it home. After moving it into 3 different rooms trying to find a place to house it, I decided to return it. I just loved the inlayed front door with Indian printing tiles!! Maybe someday I can make one.
I purchased this cowboy had at H & M last week- was desperate for something to shade my head when gardening and at the beach, and I’m not a sun hat girl. It had this spicy pink/ black animal print tie, that I quickly removed (it was only glued on). I braided up some hemp, and put some turquoise beads at the end for some color. Then I tacked it with a few stitches. Much more wearable!
I FINALLY finished the vintage crib headboard for our guest room.
Crib: Free from neighbor, were going to trash it.
Supplies: $5/ spray paint
I had everything else I needed. The first few steps are shown here. I painted the majority of the headboard gloss white, with some colorful detail on the abacus beads. I love how it turned out! Feels beachy mid-century.
