Happy Birthday Kat

I know it’s Kat’s day… but it’s also the best day of my life.  I gave my last Design Presentation at work today, and it went great.  My boss thanked me for my hard work/ designing in front of all the VP’s at the company, and everyone clapped for me.  We got free lunch b/c the presentation was supposed to last all day, but it got over 4 hours early!!!  And, since we got out early, I had time to call AAA and get the nice young man to teach me how to change a tire.  Then, I took the car into GoodYear and got a whole new set of tires because I basically had no tread.  My car won’t be done until 6:30 (I took it in @ 3) so I decided not to go back to work.  I just walked around the neighborhood, visited some friends who own a jewelry shop, bought a delish brownie and mocha shake at a local coffee shop, sat on a strangers stoop, soaked in the beautiful sun and talked to my boy.  Then I came home and watched Oprah at the actual time it was on… with my windows wide open.  I LOVE EARTH DAY!!!

 P.S. Double bonus: I also got a FREE CHIPOTLE BURRITO card in the mail.  Thanks God!

I think someone tried to break into my car last night. The door frame is bent a little- like they tried to use a small crowbar or something. I guess whoever it was tried all the cars in my alley, because I heard someone elses’s car (which is parked right outside my window) alarm going off … which means someone was probably right there while I was trying to go to bed. Get me the hell out of here.
